Today i read this:

Poligami tanpa izin isteri

My opinion:

Yes, it is man's right to marry more than 1 provided that you are 'mampu' enough. But think again are you really that 'mampu'. 'Mampu' is not just about money but also time and many other things. If you are not sure better not because many other bad and worse consequenses may happen just because you have made wrong decision. And sometimes, only the wife knows how 'mampu' the husband is. I'm not merely talking about this because i'm a woman but also because i'm a daughter. I also asked someone about 'poligami sorok2', and the answer is The Prophet never marry the others without telling his wives. So if you say you are following sunnah, follow them completely not just parts of those. And i do think because you do not follow the prophet's way, that's why divorce happens after polygamy and why some women choose to die instead of 'dimadukan', read this. Sometimes you might want to think the other parties' feeling and put yourself in their shoes and you might see things differently.

“Dan jika kamu takut tidak dapat berlaku adil terhadap perempuan yatim apabila kamu mengahwininya, maka kahwinlah perempuan lain yang kamu senangi, dua, tiga atau empat. Kemudian jika kamu takut tidak akan berlaku adil, maka kahwinlah seorang sahaja. Yang demikian itu adalah lebih baik kepada tidak berbuat aniaya.”. – (Surah an-Nisa, ayat 3)

“Dan kamu sekali-kali tidak akan dapat berlaku adil di antara isteri(mu) walaupun kamu sangat ingin berbuat demikian.” – (Surah an-Nisa, ayat 129).
